Salute to Our Veterans 5k Run! and Walk 2024

To benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark's Veterans Initiative supporting local veteran homeownership and veterans at risk of homelessness.

Registration on race day: $40.00. 

Please note, there is a $7 fee per car for parking at LIberty State Park.

Race will be scored by Rock Race Timing.

Age Awards: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 +.

Join with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark to Support Veteran's In Need!

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark recognizes the service local veterans have provided risking their lives to protect our freedom. In appreciation of their service, we created the “Veterans Initiative” to support veterans in Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.

We help veterans at risk of homelessness within our Critical Repair and Healthy Homes Program by repairing roofs, installing HVAC systems, asbestos and mold remediation, and other costly repairs, so they can remain in the place they call home.

$25,000 – Medal of Honor Sponsor:

$25 - Salute your very own veteran loved one by purchasing an American flag to honor or memorialize them! Flags will be displayed at the final leg of the race!
